Deanie Lynn Hutchinson of Palestine, Texas was born August 6, 1951. She left this world on August 22, 2025 at the age of 74 with a story that was both beautiful and complicated--just like her.
She was the mom of two kids who she loved deeply, Noble and Tammara, who will carry her spirit forward. She was also the proud grandmother of Adonis, Mason, Zane and Dade--each of them brought her joy and she carried them close to her heart.
Deanie went to Sam Houston State College, chasing dreams and building a life but what really defined her wasn't a degree or a job, it was her heart. She was caring to a fault, the kind of person who would give you the shirt of her back even if she had nothing left for herself. She loved fiercely, and when she loved you--you know it.
Her happy place was outdoors, especially near the lake where she felt most free and alive. She was a spiritual person, guided more by connection and energy than rules, and at heart she was very much a hippie--wild, free, and unapologetically herself. She loved music, especially the blues, which spoke to her soul in ways words never could. The gentle smell of lavender will forever bring her spirit close. She also had a deep love for animals, finding comfort and companionship in them--especially her little dog, BB, who was always by her side.
Deanie shared a bond with her brother Jack that was truly special--a lifelong connection of love and loyalty. Though Jack passed before Deanie, their bond remained unbroken and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited in peace.
Near the end of her life, a lifelong friend, Jerry rekindled their friendship and brought love and light back into her days. He cared for her with devotion and tenderness and together they found comfort, laughter, and new plans for the future. Though their time was cut short, the love they share was real and will be remembered.
Deanie also had her demons, She wrestled with struggles that sometimes made life heavy yet through it all she kept showing up--for her family, for her friends, and in her own way for herself. She wasn't perfect but she was real. Those who truly knew her will always carry both her light and her shadows in their memories of her.
Her story is one of love, struggle, strength, and humanity. She'll be remembered not only for the challenges she faced but for the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the way she left her mark on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Noble; her daughter Tammara; her grandchildren Adonis, Mason, Zane, and Dade; and the love of her dear friend, Jerry.
May she finally rest in peace and freedom, surrounded by the blues she loved and the scent of lavender.
