David Louis Morel

David “Dave” Louis Morel passed away on to join his Lord and Savior in heaven on June 17, 2022, at the age of 78. Born on January 11, 1944, in Houston Texas to Ira Louis Morel and Mabel Merryman Morel.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mabel Morel; sisters: Althea Jones and Sophia Louis Neel; brothers in-law Bernard C. Jones, Rev. Don “POP” Neel, Bob Hardcastle and Virgil Owen Mitchell; grandson Jeremy Fisher; nephews: Douglas Owen Mitchell, Ronne Craig Jones and Robie Hardcastle; and niece: Lisa Hardcastle.

 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years and 11 months. Deborah Diane Brown Morel; eight children: David Allen Morel and wife, Valerie, Joseph Michael Morel and wife Vicki, Stacie Ann Hudspeth and husband Brian, Brian Keith Morel and wife Debra, Travis Wayne Morel and wife Shannon, Justin Everett Morel and wife Jennifer, Nathan David Morel and wife Rolanda, and Keith Allan Morel; twenty four grandchildren, Jeremy Morel and wife Jeanne, Josh Morel, Tyler Morel and wife Ashleigh, Jennifer Thompson and husband Eric, Jena Rayburn and husband Justin, Lourissa Hudspeth Wright, Savanah Johnson and husband Garrett, Cody Hudspeth and wife Stacy, Naomi Alvarado and husband Jerry, Madison Morel, Peyton Morel, Brianne Morel, Koltyn Morel, Lexi Lindsey Prater and husband Peyton, Levi Lindsey and wife Jenni, Logan Lindsey and wife Rachel, Justin Garrett Morel, Jaden Morel, Jacob Morel, Jacee Morel, Ehtan Morel, Emily Morel, Trevor Morel, and Reagan Morel; and twenty six great grandchildren, Caleb Morel, Ava Morel, Kaden Morel, Kaylee Morel, Kasyn Morel, Kinley Thompson, Joseph Rayburn, Jayne Rayburn, Kendall Wright, Harper Wright, Kincaid Johnson, Houston Johnson, Price Johnson, Braydon O’Hagan, Braysen Jones, Carson Hudspeth, Weston Hudspeth, Braylen Hudspeth, Brody Hudspeth, Brooke Hudspeth, Noah Alvarado, Channing Prater, Chesney Prater, Addyson Lindsey, Isabella Lindsey, and Ryland Lindsey.

 

He is also survived by brothers, Ira “Buddy” Morel and wife Jane, and Daniel Keith Morel; sisters; Shirley Lea Hardcastle, and Sally Lynn Mitchell; nephews Larry Jones, Steve Jones, Paul Neel and wife Lynn, John Neel and wife Monica, Nickelas Morel, and Dominic Morel; nieces, Kim Zavala and husband Chico, Twyla Jones and husband Justin, Shonda Worsham, and Delisa Lynn Aronson, and multiple great and great great nieces and nephews; Gavin Roberts, Derek Mitchell and wife Kaylee, Aislee Mitchell, Zoe Mitchell, Kari Leblanc and husband Lance, Kelly Ann Neel, Kristopher Neel and wife Courtney, and Kristen Neel.

 

A Celebration of David’s life is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Outreach Church 1501 Division St. Greenville, TX. 75401
