Dalton Dee Gates. Jr.

Dalton Dee Gates Jr., a cherished individual known for his deep love and unwavering faith, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Greenville, Texas—the town where he was born on July 1, 1978. His departure has left a void in the hearts of many, but his memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration for those who had the privilege knowing him.

Dalton was renowned for his boundless love and his steadfast belief in Jesus Christ. These qualities not only defined him but also served as a beacon of light to those around him. His kindness, compassion, and devotion touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

A man of many talents and interests, Dalton found solace and joy in the world of art. His creative spirit shone through his work, leaving a mark that will endure for years to come. His appreciation for beauty and expression enriched both his own life and the lives of others.

As Dalton reunites with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he leaves behind a grieving but grateful family. He is survived by his father, Dalton Dee Gates Sr., his brother James Smith, his sister Mandy Gates Hyden and her husband Aaron, as well as many nieces and nephews who adored him.

Dalton is preceded in death by his mother; Naomi Jean Whitlock Gates, his brother; George Smith Jr. and his nephew Jonathan Jacob Smith.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Dalton Dee Gates Jr. for the love he shared, the faith he held dear, and the beauty he created. May his soul find eternal peace. There is always hope found with Jesus. 

A memorial service is planned for July, 13th at 11am, at Park Street Baptist Church, 2205 Park Street, Greenville, TX, by Dr. Larry Morris. 
In lieu of memory for Dalton Gates Jr. donations can be made to Fish- Hunt County Shared Ministries, for the need of others.
