Coy McCurdy, a man loved by many and by all who knew him; who served for us for in the US Navy, passed away on February 14, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on March 17, 1940, in Quinlan, Texas, Coy's life was marked remarkable achievements and an unwavering spirit.

Coy's journey began in Lone Oak, where he completed his education. He then embarked on a fulfilling career, working tirelessly at Texas Instruments until his retirement. His dedication and commitment to his work were unparalleled, making him a widely respected and admired member of the company.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Coy had a passion for travel. After retiring, he explored the world and it was during one of these adventures that he met the love of his life in Mexico. Coy's heartwarming journey continued as he and his beloved wife lived happily ever after.

One of Coy's proudest accomplishments was retiring from Texas Instruments after dedicating so much time and energy to the company. It exemplified his hard work and perseverance, making it a milestone worth celebrating.

Coy was not only defined by his career; he had a vibrant personality that touched the lives of many. He possessed a generous spirit that extended to everyone around him. Kindness flowed naturally from him, bringing joy to those who were fortunate enough to know him. His gentle and easy-going nature eased tensions in any situation while also finding humor in life's moments. Coy had an incredible ability to bring people together and create laughter wherever he went.

During his free time, Coy enjoyed indulging in his hobbies of fishing and traveling with his wife. These moments allowed him to relax and find solace in nature's embrace. He also cherished the annual gatherings with his classmates, demonstrating the loyalty and enduring friendships he had fostered throughout the years.

Outside of immediate family members like his loving wife Sara Euginia McCurdy, Coy leaves behind his sister Aureta Hott, sister Purneta Wagner, and several nieces and cousins. Among them are Elizabeth, Sylvia, Glenda, Rita, Eva, Kendall, Karen, Lavon, and Beverly. Their lives were enriched by Coy's presence, and his absence will undoubtedly be deeply felt by all who loved him.

Services to honor and celebrate Coy's remarkable life will be held on February 20, 2024. The Funeral Service will take place at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m., offering an opportunity for loved ones to come together and share the memories they hold dear. Coy's legacy of love and laughter will be honored throughout this solemn occasion, his burial will follow at Wieland Cemetery in Weiland, Texas.

As we bid farewell to Coy McCurdy, we remember him as a remarkable individual who touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
