Christine Mills

Christine Owens Mills, age 88, of Greenville, left this life to be with her Lord in the late afternoon hours of Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center at Greenville. She was born in Emory on July 20, 1921 to Charlie and Eula Potts Owens, they preceded her in death. After graduation from high school, Christine married R. C. (Raymon) Mills. Together they owned and operated the Nutrena Feed Store in Greenville. They spent 47 years making memories together until his passing in 1987. Ms. Mills was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville and was a member of the ALR Sunday School Class at the church. Her faith, love, and work ethic left a legacy for everyone to follow. Ms. Mills is survived by eight nieces, two nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Horn and Nancy Cheek, and one brother, Thomas Owens. Services for Ms. Mills will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. She will be buried at Memoryland Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held from 6 " 8 P.M., Monday evening at the funeral home.
