Carol Ann Hall

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Hall, who peacefully departed this life on August 4, 2026, at the age of 82.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Hall, who passed away in October 2021; her parents, Admiral Dewey and Janet "Jenny" Olivia Smith; and all of her brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children: Frank Rowland and wife, Juliann; Robert Rowland and wife, Jane; Janet Rowland; David Anthony Silmon; Christian Lee Rowland; Crystal Ann Rowland; Ronald Rowland and his spouse, Mario; and Shelly Marie Hall Colunga.

She was a proud grandmother to William Rowland, Christopher Rowland, Jaeden Rowland, Ariella Giselle Colunga, Keegan Adam Colunga, and Timothy Allen Henry, Jr. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Noah Rowland, Joel Rowland, Kieron Rowland, Sean Rowland, Bransonn Allen Lee Yates, Adysson Marie Dawn Yates, and Wesson Henry, along with many other cherished grandchildren.

Carol is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Each of Carol's children carries treasured memories that reflect her strength, determination, and love for her family.

Frank fondly remembered learning to drive at just 12 years old while his mother loaded a refrigerator into the back of a pickup truck. One of Carol's proudest moments was signing him up for the United States Army.

Juliann remembered that whenever Carol came to visit, no matter what was going on, she would always go outside and pick special flowers just for her.

Robert remembered that during some of the most difficult years of his life, his mother stood beside him, helping him get his first apartment and encouraging him every step of the way.

Janet smiled as she recalled her high school days, when her mother would pick the kids up from school in a pickup truck loaded with salvage, headed straight to the salvage yard.

Ronald laughed as he remembered the many "wild goose chases" his mother would send him on to fulfill one of her many ideas or wishes.

Shelly cherished seeing her mother's face light up when she gifted her a Build-A-Bear dressed in a Navy uniform with her father's recorded voice inside. She also fondly remembered the Rowlett Police Department surprising Carol by singing "Happy Birthday" to her at Hubbard's and treating her to breakfast, as well as celebrating her unforgettable first hibachi birthday dinner.

Carol's life was one of resilience, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. She created memories that will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to those who loved her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing Carol is now at rest and reunited with her husband and all those who went before her. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come.
