Brian Dayton Zaeske Sr., born August 4, 1972, in Garland, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2026, in Greenville, Texas, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and the many lives he touched along the way.
Brian attended Farmersville High School in Texas and Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado. He was a man who could fix just about anything. A mechanic by trade and a handyman by nature, Brian possessed an incredible mechanical mind and a natural talent for figuring out how things worked. If something was broken, chances were Brian could fix it. He had a gift for working with his hands and a determination to never give up on a problem until he found a solution.
But Brian was so much more than his mechanical abilities. He was an extremely helpful neighbor and the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand. He gave his time, knowledge, and skills freely, often helping others simply because he could. His generosity and willingness to help made him someone his family, friends, and neighbors could always count on.
Brian loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, finding peace and happiness in the time he spent outside. He also had a deep love for animals of all kinds. His compassion for animals was simply another reflection of the caring heart he carried throughout his life.
Brian will be remembered as a hardworking, talented, generous, and incredibly resourceful man. He was a problem solver, a protector, a helper, and someone who could make something out of almost anything. His knowledge, kindness, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed.
Brian is survived by his parents, Billie D. Zaeske and Shirley McGowan Zaeske; his brother, Billy Zaeske; his son, Brian Zaeske Jr., and his wife, Brigette Alarcon; his daughter, Amanda K. Zaeske; and his three precious grandchildren, Axel, Archer, and Bleu, who brought love, joy, and a special light into his life.
Brian's grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and the memories they made together will remain a treasured part of his family's story. His love for his children and grandchildren will continue through them and the generations that follow.
Those who knew Brian will remember a man who was truly one of a kind—a mechanical genius with a big heart, a lover of the outdoors and animals, and a neighbor, friend, father, grandfather, and son who was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Brian's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer here, the things he taught others, the people he helped, and the lives he touched will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Rest easy, Brian. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
