Mrs. Brenda Tyler, 74, of Royse City, Texas passed away Sunday August 24, 2025 peacefully in her sleep after a period of declining health. Mrs. Tyler was born on March 3, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee. Daughter of William Gibson and Sylvia Wilbanks Gibson.
Brenda Tyler retired from AutoZone Corporate Headquarters and was previously a Walmart sales associate. After retirement Mrs. Tyler spent years caring for elderly relatives. She enjoyed spending time with many family pets over the years. Among her achievements was a bachelor's degree in accounting that she earned in adulthood. An avid reader of all things including science fiction and westerns. To quote one of her favorite children's books, Charlotte's Web by E.B. White, " Wilbur never forgot Charlotte. Although he loved her children and grandchildren dearly, none of the new spiders ever quite took her place in his heart." Or Robert A. Heinlein, " May you live as long as you wish and love as long as you live." She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward A. Tyler Jr., her brother Robert Gibson, and her sister Ruby Wilson. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Frances Tyler and husband Joe Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Richard Tyler and wife Kimberly Tyler of Royse City, Texas, Charles Tyler, and beloved nephew James Wilson and wife Kia Wilson. As well as grandchildren Noah, Sydney, Jared, Jesse, and Joshua Tyler.
