Annie Ethel Hudson, of Celeste, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 65. She graduated from Rusk High School and went on to build a successful career with L3 Communications in Greenville, Texas, where she was admired for her strong work ethic and the lifelong friendships she made along the way.
Known for her big personality and generous heart, Annie never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her proudest moments were marrying the love of her life, Donnie, raising her daughters, and becoming a grandmother — a role she cherished above all else.
Annie had a deep love for animals, especially her horses, and even a “crazy llama” that kept everyone laughing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people smile — often by playfully embarrassing her children, much to everyone’s amusement.
Annie is survived by her loving husband, Don Wesley Hudson; her daughters, Vallarie Hudson Taylor and husband Montie Taylor and LeAnna Hudson Hayes and husband David Hayes; her beloved grandchildren, Ty Hudson Ward, Karre James Taylor, Chelsea Marie Hayes, and Zoey Anna Hayes; her sisters, Brenda Chandler and Anna Nolley; her brother, Jody Quimby; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Louis and Patricia Quimby, and Leo & Zelda Quimby
Annie will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and the light she brought into every room. Her laughter, compassion, and love for her family and friends will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
