Alva "A.D." Robinson

It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alva Dean (A.D.) Robinson, 87, of Poteau, Oklahoma. A.D. passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A.D. was born in Heavner, Oklahoma, August 23, 1937 to Joseph Monroe and Tessie Marie Robinson. He served his country as a member of the United States Army as a Light Weapons Infantryman.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Robinson Driska & husband Frank of Poteau, OK; grandchildren: Karen Estes & partner Alex of Roxburgh, NZ and Brittany Guidry & husband Jayson of Macon,GA; great-grandchildren: Connor, Preston, Saylor, and Piper; Sister: Dolly George of Summerfield, OK and brother Larry Robinson & wife Carol of Leflore, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A.D. was preceded in death by his wife: Betty; his Mother, Tessie Carpenter Robinson, and Father, Joseph Monroe Robinson.
